the next morning we would make the drive up to Canada and the Lachine
Rapids for some freestyle kayaking. The trip to Lachine takes four and
a half ours. With Brian’s Chevy Suburban at our disposal we began and
had a pretty quick trip until customs at the border. What I forgot and
Brian didn’t know was that he needed a letter of approval from his
parents for him to be able to cross the border with me into Canada.
After a few awkward questions in which we could tell the customs agent
was deciding whether or not to let us through he decided that he didn’t
care that much and without any more questions waved us by. Paddle Hard, Tino Ottawa TripAugust 3, 2007 by Cassie Hayden (0 comments) Hey Everyone, Sorry about not updating the blog for a little while. Team Z has been Super busy with events and just plain paddling. Recently we got to take a trip to the Ottawa with Team Z and some of Zoar’s young guns. The Ottawa is a 10 hour drive and is worth every second. With gigantic rapids and a great place to stay provided by Wilderness Tours the Ottawa is a must go type of place. Hope you guys enjoy the video. Paddle Hard, Tino Locals Hit up Local Hot SpotAugust 3, 2007 by Cassie Hayden (0 comments) The other day a few of the local kids and I decided to head over to a local spot that has an awesome little creek line. We spent a few hours there just laying around on the warm rock and filming the run. After this we drove five minutes away to another great drop which we messed around at there for a few more hours then went home for the day. A week or two later I got a chance to film another one of the local drops and then got some play time down at t-ville. The really cool thing about all these local drops I’ve mentioned is that they have great/fun creek lines but the really awesome part is that they run all summer, so while other people in New England have to wait for spring people around Zoar Outdoor get a chance to practice their creek skills all summer. I hope you guys like the Video. Paddle Hard, Tino Video’s: http://broadbandsports.com/node/8712 http://broadbandsports.com/node/8908 |
