Are you 40+ years young? If so, it’s never too late to take up the sport of whitewater kayaking. Kayaking is a lifetime sport and can take you to places few have seen and is a great way to forge friendships. You can choose your level of excitement, from mellow to faster flowing rivers and even Class III/IV whitewater!

Zoar Outdoor’s “Over 40” clinics are designed for those who refuse to let “chronological age” hold them back and who want to learn with other whitewater enthusiasts of a similar view. These clinics follow the format of our Novice and Class II clinics.

“Just wanted to take the time to tell you what a “gem” you have in one of your kayak instructors.  I took a 2 day “custom” clinic this past Thursday and Friday and really enjoyed myself.  Jim Sullivan was my instructor and he really did a great job. It was more like kayaking with a really talented friend. He was very patient, but encouraged me to challenge myself.  He was very concerned about my safety and really helped out when I flipped over (three times). “
