River Running

River Runs are one-day instructional kayaking or canoeing trips on the Deerfield and Millers Rivers in MA and the West River in southern VT. These kayaking and canoeing trips give paddlers a chance to gain experience under the guidance of an instructor.  The goal of these clinics is for students to practice and receive feedback for improving the skills they have already learned and not be overwhelmed with new skills.  They are a wonderful way to practice your kayaking and canoeing techniques under the leadership of qualified instructors.  If you haven’t been on one of these sections a river run is also the perfect way to have confidence seeing a new section of whitewater.

Our advanced river running clinics are more instructional as well with a focus on the kayaking techniques that help you develop the skills and confidence to handle more difficult water.  Folks interested in the upper West, lower Millers or Dryway river runs should have confident rolls and comfort in at least class three whitewater.  Click on each for more information about these great New England gems!
